Chapter 188 His Madness
Chapter 188 His Madness
Bai Yu stepped into his once-familiar home. The interior furnishings remained the same, but the warmth of the past was gone.
He stood in the center of the living room, looking around with a complicated expression.
Thinking of how resolutely his father had opposed his relationship with his sister, anger and helplessness surged into his heart like a tide.
He sighed softly, thinking that if his father had let go back then, he might still be able to live a peaceful life here.
"If you had agreed to let me be with Weiwei back then, I wouldn't have killed you myself, and none of this would have happened..."
Although Bai Yu's act of killing his father violated ethics, he had no other choice but to do so for the sake of his sister's future.
Just then, a faint sound came from the corner. He looked over warily and found his sister huddled there, her eyes filled with fear and unfamiliarity, as if he were a complete stranger...
Bai Yu's heart tightened, and he slowly walked towards her, calling softly, "Weiwei, it's me, don't be afraid." But Bai Wei trembled even more violently, like a frightened deer, her voice trembling with tears, "It's you...you killed Daddy, Daddy trusted you..."
He looked at her silently, a faint sneer playing on his lips: "Trust me?"
"Where did you figure that out, huh? Vivi?"
When he heard her say the word "trust," Bai Yu felt as if he had heard a hilarious joke.
If he trusted me, why did he insult me after I had already expressed my feelings to him? If he trusted me, why did he entrust his daughter to a man who had hurt Weiwei?
Bai Chuhua completely looked down on him.
Bai Wei and he were not related by blood at all. Bai Chuhua was afraid that this sordid matter would be discovered by his family, and that he would be expelled from the Bai family genealogy, fearing that his reputation would be ruined.
He's a coward!
Bai Yu sneered, "If he trusted me, why would he try to break us up like lovers?" Bai Wei was in tears, sobbing uncontrollably, "I have never had any feelings for you, you are just my brother."
Her eyes, red and swollen, looked at Bai Yu: "Do you know? When I learned the truth, I was the one who suffered the most!"
Bai Yu paused, feeling as if he had been struck by a heavy hammer, staring at Bai Wei in disbelief. "You said you've never had any feelings for me?" His voice trembled slightly, his eyes filled with hurt.
Bai Wei turned her head away, not daring to look him in the eye. "Those were just your youthful ignorance, you were trapped in your own fantasies. Dad did it for our own good; he didn't want us to go down the wrong path."
Bai Yu felt like a complete joke, having given everything only to receive this result. He laughed self-deprecatingly, "So, in your heart, I've always been a clown. For you, I bore the guilt of killing my father, and now I've become a laughingstock."
"He's my father, how could you..." Bai Yu approached step by step, his eyes filled with pain and madness, "I've already lost so much to be with you. If we don't do this, we'll never have a future." Bai Wei retreated in terror, her back hitting the wall, with nowhere to escape.
Bai Yu reached out to touch her, but she slapped his hand away.
"Don't touch me, I never want to see you again!" Bai Wei shouted hoarsely. Bai Yu's hand froze in mid-air, the light in his eyes gradually dimming. He stood there blankly, as if his soul had been ripped away.
"Then you're not leaving this place today. Even if you want to leave, you can't."
Bai Yu suddenly sneered, his eyes turning sinister.
He quickly pulled out his phone from his pocket, dialed a number, and said in an icy voice, "Seal this place off. No one is allowed to enter or leave."
Bai Wei stared at him in horror, her eyes wide. "You're crazy! Bai Yu, you can't do this!" Bai Yu approached step by step, a calm smile on his face. "I'm not crazy, Weiwei. I just don't want to lose you again." Bai Wei struggled desperately, but Bai Yu held her tightly. "Let me go! I hate you!" she screamed.
Bai Yu rested his chin on the top of her head, his voice deep:
"It's okay if you hate me, as long as you stay by my side."
Just then, a commotion arose outside, as if someone was trying to break through the blockade. Bai Yu frowned and cursed under his breath, "Damn it!" He hugged Bai Wei tightly, his eyes turning fierce, "No matter who it is, they won't take you away from me."
Bai Wei closed her eyes in despair, tears streaming down her cheeks. She didn't know when this nightmare would end. Who was outside the door, and whether they could free her from Bai Yu's clutches—everything remained unknown.
“Fu Shiyue’s men are downstairs. If I can’t get out, they will definitely tell Fu Shiyue.” Bai Wei met his gaze without any fear.
"You're using Fu Shiyue to threaten me? Weiwei..."
Bai Yu sneered, "Fu Shiyue? He's not worthy of my fear."
Yet, a lingering unease remained in his heart. Just then, the door was violently flung open, and a group of bodyguards in black rushed in. Leading them was Fu Shiyue, his eyes icy cold. After scanning the room, his gaze settled on Bai Yu and Bai Wei. "Let her go," Fu Shiyue said in a low, authoritative voice.
Bai Yu hugged Bai Wei tightly, looking at Fu Shiyue warily. "My men are everywhere outside. Do you think you can take her away?" Fu Shiyue took a step forward.
"Bai Yu, if you turn yourself in, you might still have a chance to turn things around."
Bai Yu sneered, "Turn yourself in? Then everything I've done has been in vain. Fu Shiyue, stop pretending."
Fu Shiyue's gaze was firm. "Do you think that by locking her up, you can win her heart? You've already killed your own father; are you going to make another mistake?"
"Brother, please don't make any more mistakes..."
She was held captive by Bai Yu and unable to move.
But at this point, he had lost all reason.
"You say I killed my own father, do you have any evidence?" he shouted at Fu Shiyue, "No evidence, you're just making baseless accusations against me!"
Fu Shiyue took out a recording pen from the middle of the room. "This is a conversation between you and Lin Mo. It clearly states that you were going to take action against Bai Chuhua because he was hindering your plans."
Bai Yu's face turned deathly pale instantly, but he still had some doubts.
"No, this is definitely fake. You're the one who tried to trick me with a fake, aren't you?"
Bai Yu pulled a gun from his pocket, aimed it at the recording pen without hesitation, and smashed it to the ground, rendering it completely unusable.
Fu Shiyue's eyes narrowed, surprised by Bai Yu's decisiveness. "Even if you destroy the recording pen, your crime cannot be erased. So many people here heard it."
Bai Yu laughed angrily, "So what if you heard? There's no way to prove it with your dead bodies. What can you do to me?" As he spoke, he pressed the gun against Bai Wei's temple, "Anyone who dares to make a move, I'll kill her."
Bai Wei closed her eyes in terror, tears streaming down her face.
"Let me take her away. If you dare to resist, I'll die with her here. Even if we don't end up together, we can die together. Isn't that better?"
He smiled, his eyes filled with an uncontrollable madness, like a crazed leopard.
