There is a beast: (Hundred Explanations)

Chapter 21 Homecoming

Chapter 21 Homecoming

When Bai Jie came out of the dream, her gaze towards Si Bu Xiang changed. "I treated you like a brother! And you actually want to marry me!" The more she looked at Si Bu Xiang, the more annoyed she became, and she smacked him on the head with a "smack."

The Four-Faced Beast felt something tap on its head, then looked at Bai Jie on its head and gave a signature squinty smile, "Little Golden Thread is awake~" It scratched Bai Jie's back with its big paw.

"Hmph!" It bit the big paw that was scratching its back, but it didn't hurt?

Looking at Bai Jie, who was "playing" with him, the Four-Faced Beast was even happier.

Bai Jie sighed, feeling dejected. She realized she was too soft-hearted and couldn't bring herself to hurt him. Lying on the head of the Four-Faced Beast, she felt her future was bleak.

"Bai Jie~ Why do you seem even more颓废 (颓废 is a difficult word to translate directly, but it implies a state of listlessness, apathy, and a lack of motivation)?" Tian Lu poked his head out.

Bai Jie rolled her eyes. She was more than just depressed; she felt like her entire worldview had been shattered. She had no hope for the future.

He turned his body away, indicating that he did not want to answer the question.

But the Qojin's fur is so soft, let me take another sniff. [?]

Despite her reluctance, Bai Jie unknowingly accepted the existence of the Four-No-Face.

. . .

"Huh? Why does the scenery around here feel so familiar?" Bixie felt like he had been here before.

Upon hearing the sound of the warding off evil spirits, Bai Jie opened her eyes, which had been narrowed as she contemplated her beastly existence, and looked around.

"Isn't this the cliff where Tianlu and I fell that day? We've actually come back here," Bai Jie said, seeing the cliff.

"But Tianlu was really stupid back then, he couldn't even jump over such a narrow cliff." Bai Jie recalled, and couldn't help but say to Tianlu.

Tianlu scratched his head, blushing slightly with embarrassment. Why did this topic suddenly come up? A hero doesn't dwell on past glories.

"Besides, Tianlu was so fat back then, I couldn't even hold you back." Bai Jie scratched her chin, ignoring Tianlu's embarrassment as she continued.

"Aww! Stop talking! Stop talking! It's all because Bai Jie was too small back then. I was clearly very light!" Tian Lu pouted unconvinced.

"Haha~ Okay, okay, I won't say anymore." Bai Jie laughed and finally stopped talking.

Tianlu glared resentfully at Bai Jie. Bai Jie was good in every way, except she loved to tease him. He then tried to find Bixie for some comfort, but when he turned around, he saw Bixie also trying to suppress a laugh, and his anger flared up instantly!

"Bixie! Even you're making fun of me!" Tianlu waved its two little paws, looking very angry, but in Bai Jie's eyes it looked even cuter.

When Bixie realized that his suppressed laughter had been discovered, he coughed and his expression instantly changed back, much like a Sichuan opera face-changing act.

He said seriously, "As the older brother, I would never laugh at Tianlu!"

“That’s more like it~” Before Tianlu could even breathe a sigh of relief, Bixie added, “Unless you can’t help it.” A soft slur came from Bixie’s mouth.

"Break!! Evil!"

"Hahaha~"

. . .

"I reckon only beasts like Tianlu would fall off a cliff. Let's keep going; maybe Big Guy is looking for us too," Bixie analyzed.

"What do you mean I'm a beast! I'm ignoring the evil spirits!" Tianlu shouted.

Seeing that Tianlu seemed genuinely angry, Bixie quickly went over to try and comfort him.

Bai Jie stopped Bixie, gave him a gold bar, and gestured with her eyes. Bixie nodded, then took the gold bar to apologize to Tianlu.

"Hmph! Even if there were gold bars, I wouldn't forgive you!" Tianlu said, glancing at the gold bars on the Evil-Repelling Claw.

"Really?" Bixie picked up the gold bar and waved it in front of Tianlu.

Tianlu glanced at it furtively, then calmly took the gold bar, saying arrogantly, "This is the last time!"

Seeing Tianlu take the gold bar, Bixie mischievously imitated Bai Jie, saying, "Next time for sure!"

Bai Jie raised an eyebrow when she saw Bixie say those words. Goodness, you've even learned that phrase.

"I want to go back home. It shouldn't be too far from here," said the Four-Faced Beast.

"What?! I can see my father and mother now!" Tianlu was instantly revived.

"They are my father and mother, what are you so excited about?" The Four-Faced Beast expressed its helplessness. It had clearly explained before, but this shameless little blue circle still called them father and mother. Little Golden Thread was better.

“Sure, let’s go back then. You’ve been away for so long, it’s time to go back and visit.” Bai Jie nodded.

Although time is not worth a few gold bars to a mythical beast, for a beast like Bai Jie who has humanistic feelings, there is nothing wrong with going back to see her parents.

I glanced at Tianlu, who was still excited. I guessed that he wasn't excited about seeing the First Qilin and the Jade Qilin, but rather about being able to eat the Golden Ball again.

. . .

The home of the four strange creatures.

"I'm back~" Si Bu Xiang was holding three Pixiu in his arms, and Bai Jie was holding a small rambutan in her paws.

"Are you hungry out there? Have you missed us?"

"You've been away from home for so long, and you haven't even sent a message back."

The two Qilins sandwiched the Four-Unlikes in the middle. They missed the Four-Unlikes terribly; it was their precious darling.

With the two Qilin's warm greetings, Tianlu began his mealtime routine.

"To ward off evil spirits, try this."

"Mmm, this is delicious."

Yu Qilin privately said to Shi Qilin, "Why are these little guys we picked up always eating?"

Shi Qilin: "I don't know, didn't you pick it up?"

Jade Kirin: "Wasn't it you?"

So they started arguing again about who had picked up these foodies.

Bai Jie was alright; he just wanted to try something different, so he didn't eat much.

If we were to rank them from highest to lowest, it would be: Tianlu, Bixie, Baijie.

Tianlu, needless to say, is a complete glutton. Bixie, on the other hand, is a bit more sensible; he doesn't want to always rely on Bai Jie's gold bars, after all, Bai Jie isn't a beast that doesn't get annoyed.

. . .

Inside the cave at night.

Bixie and Tianlu were already asleep, hugging their respective dolls, while Dijiang, having shrunk down, was also fast asleep among them.

Only Bai Jie, the beast, was there, feeling depressed: Where is the Four-Faced Beast? Why did it disappear at night?

Bai Jie said that he has become accustomed to the "bed".

Without a suitable "bed" for the four different animals, it's hard to fall asleep.

Finally, after struggling to keep her eyes open for five minutes, Bai Jie collapsed onto the floor and fell asleep; she simply couldn't stay awake any longer.

midnight.

A Qilin sneaked in furtively, muttering: "What's wrong with Father and Mother? They insist I sleep with them, saying they miss me. I'm all grown up now, how could I possibly need my parents to sleep with me?"

Sibuxiang scanned the surroundings and immediately spotted Bai Jie, a beast lying alone on the ground, asleep.

"Hehe~" The Four-Faced Beast went over and hugged Bai Jie, "It's still more comfortable sleeping with Little Golden Thread~"

dark place.

"Hey, do you think the Four-Faced Beast wouldn't like that golden Pixiu?" the Jade Qilin asked.

"Huh? Probably not?" Shi Qilin hesitated a bit.

"What if you really like it?" Yu Qilin asked again.

"If they like it, they like it. The kids are all grown up now, and we can't keep an eye on them anymore." Shi Qilin spread his paws.

"Let's keep an eye on it for a while, though."
