Chapter 363 Taking Photos
Chapter 363 Taking Photos
"Let's go, let's go to the next stop!"
After having a satisfying meal, the group left the restaurant and embarked on their next journey.
Soon, they arrived in front of a very luxurious shop.
"This is the luxury store I mentioned earlier," Liu Ying said, pointing to the shop's sign.
"Further down is Grax Avenue—the main thoroughfare of the Golden Hour."
"Come here! Keep up!"
As Xing and Eve looked around at the scenery, they quickly followed in Liu Ying's footsteps.
Firefly had reached a sculpture and was waving at them, "Over here, over here, I've got something interesting to show you~"
"Wow! What a... strange statue!" Xing exclaimed.
"Doesn't this look like an animated character?" Eve asked.
There probably isn't anyone who actually looks like that in real life, right?
And the art style seems to be like Disney's.
Firefly nodded. "That's right, this statue is Pinocchio's famous cartoon character—'Watch Boy'!"
"From Pinocchio's longest-running and most famous animated cartoon, it tells the adventure story of the protagonist, Watch Boy, and his friends living in Dreamland—it has been running for over 10,000 episodes to date!"
"Ten thousand episodes? Looks like it's comparable to that blue robot cat," Eve said after looking it over.
"Blue, Blue Fatty?" Firefly asked.
"Wait, is there really no risk in portraying this image...?" Xing suddenly asked.
"Hey, risk? Why? Watch Boy is a household name in Pinocchio, there shouldn't be any problems... right?" Firefly asked.
"They shouldn't be prosecuted, right...?" Eve swallowed hard.
Firefly didn't understand what they were talking about, so she continued:
"And did you know? It's said that the prototype for Watch Boy is that famous—the 'Watchmaker'."
“A watchmaker?” Eve frowned slightly, as if she had heard the name somewhere before.
"Is this person very famous?" Xing asked directly.
"You didn't know? He's a legendary tycoon in Pinocchio's history, the founder of the dream world, the one who turned 'dreams' into reality!" Firefly was somewhat surprised.
"There are many different opinions about the watchmaker's origins: some say he was a merchant from outer space, some say he was a prisoner from a prison planet, and others say that the watchmaker is just a symbol and that such a person never existed..."
"Hmm, it feels like March 7th..." Xing suddenly thought.
No, these conflicting opinions are probably all made up by the watchmaker himself, right?
“No one knows his background, but everyone wants to replicate his success and become the next watchmaker!” Firefly continued.
"His deeds spread throughout the galaxy, attracting dreamers to his side, and banquet after banquet created the star of today's event. In Pinocchio, his name is known to all."
"Although the 'Clockboy' in the animation is just a clumsy braggart... I still believe the story that the clockmaker is an unknown person the most! After all, cultivating dreams sounds very 'exploratory'!" Firefly longed for it.
“The nameless guest…” Eve suddenly remembered something.
Then it dawned on Liu Ying, "Ah! I suddenly realized—if the watchmaker really is an unknown man, then isn't he your senior?"
"Could it be that he is one of the nameless guests we are looking for?" Eve suddenly remembered the little rabbit's request to them: to find the three nameless guests who got off at Pinocchio.
Could it be that this watchmaker is one of them?
"Hey, do you want to take a picture with him as a souvenir? I can help you," Liu Ying suddenly suggested.
Xing nodded. "Then I'll have to trouble you."
"No problem~ Here, give me your phone." Liu Ying said playfully.
“Wait, we won’t use our phones this time,” Eve suddenly said.
"Not using a phone? Then what will you use to take pictures?" Liu Ying asked.
"Use this."
Eve suddenly pulled out a white camera, which was exquisitely designed.
“This is…” Firefly looked at the camera with great curiosity.
“I used this for work before, and it still works, so let’s use this for the shoot,” Eve sighed.
"Okay, sure." Firefly nodded, took the camera, and walked to the opposite side of Xing and Eve.
"Are you ready?" Firefly asked, raising her camera.
Eve and Star each struck a pose. Eve took the most ordinary touristy V-sign, while Star climbed onto Clockwork Boy's arm and struck what she thought was the coolest pose.
Liu Ying was both amused and exasperated by the scene, but she managed to suppress her laughter and pressed the shutter.
With a "click," the flash went off.
Suddenly, Xing seemed to hear a sound coming from the statue.
"Hi! Hi hi hi!"
"Help! Help me, chirp!"
Xing frowned in confusion.
She seemed to hear a delicate yet sharp cry for help.
If nothing unexpected happens, that pitiful cry must have come from the eyelashes of the Clock Boy...
Firefly looked up and saw Star making a strange gesture. "Huh? What's wrong? Is there something on Clock Boy's face?"
"It's nothing..."
Before Xing could finish speaking, she suddenly heard that voice again.
"Help! Help me! Pull me out! Help me!"
"Let's take one more." Liu Ying raised the camera again.
After a "click," Firefly walked over.
"Okay! You look really good, you guys are so photogenic."
Eve's white camera seems to print photos directly without needing to be developed.
Liu Ying looked at the two photos in her hand with a very satisfied expression.
It would be absolutely impossible to take such a photo with a mobile phone.
"Let me see." Eve took the photo and examined it.
Besides Eve's scissor-hand gesture, Star is also seen striking a cringeworthy pose on Watch Boy's arm.
Upon seeing the star, Eve almost burst out laughing.
Sure enough, only she could do something like this.
"I'll come too..."
Just as Xing was about to jump down, the sound suddenly rang out again, this time even more intense.
"Help! Help me! Pull me out here! Pull me out!"
