Urban Soldier Young Master

Chapter 865 - 864: Every Shot Hits the Mark

Chapter 865 - 864: Every Shot Hits the Mark

Crossing two printing machines, Chu Ge reached the end of the basement where there was a door. Chu Ge gave it a push, but it was locked from the outside. With a powerful kick, Chu Ge sent the door flying with a "bang"."Chu Ge! Wait for me!"

Just as Chu Ge was about to chase out of the basement, he heard a familiar voice behind him. He turned around to see Mu Lingshan running towards him quickly.

Chu Ge was slightly taken aback. He had thought that Mu Lingshan might follow him, but he didn't expect her to be the first one to come in.

Honestly, he didn't want Mu Lingshan to chase after him. After all, it was pitch black on the other side of the door and there were too many uncertainties — how many people there were and whether they were armed, he didn't know.

When Mu Lingshan reached in front of Chu Ge, Chu Ge asked helplessly, "Tiger Girl, can you just stay put?"

Mu Lingshan stood by Chu Ge's side, staring at him for two seconds, then suddenly grabbed his arm and bit down hard. She slightly lifted the corner of her mouth without saying anything and dashed into the darkness beyond the door.

Though there was much she wanted to say to Chu Ge, it was clearly not the right time.

Chu Ge rubbed his forehead. It seemed that talking was useless, so he quickly caught up to Mu Lingshan and handed the gun back to her, walking ahead of her.

"Tiger Girl, if you insist on following me, your only task is to protect yourself."

Chu Ge had just taken a step when Mu Lingshan grabbed his hand. "Keep this gun with you. Though I've never seen you shoot, I trust your aim is better than mine. The gun will be more useful with you."

Chu Ge hesitated for a moment, then nodded and took the gun back.

The path beyond the door was narrow and low, and both Chu Ge and Mu Lingshan had to stoop down to advance. It wasn't far, only about ten meters. They turned a corner and reached the end of the path.

Although it seemed like there was no way out, Chu Ge didn't think it was a dead end. Otherwise, how did the people in the basement plan to escape? After all, once out of that door, there was only this one path.

Too bad, even after prying Little White's mouth open, what that kid knew was limited. Once out of the basement, everything depended on Chu Ge's own exploration.

Stooping, Chu Ge raised his hands and pushed against the wall. As he applied force, the wall indeed loosened. He continued to press harder, and the sound of creaking filled his ears. A gap appeared in what had been a solid wall, and a foul stench wafted through the opening.

Chu Ge continued applying pressure, widening the gap. When it was large enough for him to squeeze through sidewise, he stopped, though the air rushing in was now much worse.

Crouched, Chu Ge peered down and although the view was poor, he could make out that this was likely a sewer.

The distance between him and the ground below, where he could potentially land, was just over a meter to under two meters. Apparently, after going down, someone had returned this movable wall to its original position.

These bastards had indeed left themselves a good escape. The pervasive sewers, with their twists and turns like a labyrinth, were perfect for fleeing.

"What did you find?" Mu Lingshan asked from behind.

"It's a sewer. I don't see anyone for now," replied Chu Ge.

Mu Lingshan urged impatiently, "Then hurry up and chase them!"

"Hold on a second." Chu Ge didn't explain. He turned on his phone's flashlight and shone it downward. From his previous encounter with these South Koreans, Chu Ge knew well their viciousness and cunning. He preferred to be cautious.

As the light spread, Chu Ge did make a discovery. Directly below him were unremarkable, black little objects — several sharp, triangular spikes.

Chu Ge's eyes glinted coldly. These bastards were indeed insidious. Even while escaping, they couldn't resist setting traps here. If he had jumped straight down, he would have fallen right into their trap.

But since he had spotted these spikes, they no longer posed any threat.

Turning around, he first lowered his legs from the edge of the movable wall. His right hand gripped the edge, and he swung his body slightly. Then, using the inertia of leaning to the right, he jumped down.

Chu Ge avoided all the spikes and landed firmly on the ground, then kicked these sinister devices far aside. Only then did he call out to Mu Lingshan, signaling she could come down.

Upon reaching the ground, Mu Lingshan picked up a triangular spike and couldn't help but feel a shiver of fear. Fortunately, Chu Ge paid attention to detail, because if it were her in front, she might not have noticed, and her feet would have been pierced through.

Mu Lingshan tossed the spike aside and looked around, feeling a strong sense of helplessness. "What do we do now? There's not a soul here. Which way do we chase?"

Chu Ge didn't respond. He bent down and pressed his ear to the ground, listening intently for a few seconds. He muttered "straight ahead," and began to run quickly.

Mu Lingshan followed closely, doing her best to keep up with Chu Ge. After a while, they indeed began to faintly hear footsteps.

As the footsteps became clearer, their hearts were filled with excitement, yet they grew increasingly vigilant.

Finally, in Chu Ge's sight, two figures appeared running, each holding a suitcase.

"Bang!"

In the sewer, a gunshot rang out with no warning, followed by a wretched scream. A man holding a suitcase suddenly had his left leg go soft, collapsing to the ground with a thud, dropping the suitcase from his hand with a "thump."

The shot startled Mu Lingshan; she truly hadn't expected Chu Ge to fire without warning, much less shout a warning. There wasn't even the slightest hint, and considering how poor the visibility was here, Chu Ge's stride never faltered. He hit the target with just one shot — wasn't his marksmanship a bit too precise?

"Brother Jin!"

If Mu Lingshan was that shocked, there was no need to mention the other man running with a suitcase. He shouted, pulling out a gun from his chest in a flash.

However, just as he turned to aim at Chu Ge, two more "bang bang" sounds echoed in the air. Bright red blood sprouted from his wrist and thigh, and his gun and suitcase fell to the ground.

"Everyone freeze! Move and I'll blow your heads off!"

The second man, struggling to pick up his gun with the other hand, froze as he heard Chu Ge shout in Korean. His hand hung powerless in the air, eventually dropping down helplessly. He didn't doubt Chu Ge's words; it was a warning, absolutely not a joke.

Yet, their hearts were filled with shock, confusion, and regret.

They were shocked and puzzled by who this fellow was; how could his marksmanship be so astoundingly precise? Chu Ge fired three shots in total — three shots in succession — and not a single one missed!

The regret was because if they hadn't been carrying these two suitcases, or if they had chosen the closest exit instead of opting for a slightly farther one that's less populated for safety's sake, they might have already escaped, alive and free.

The only consolation seemed to be that they were still alive.

As the distance closed, Chu Ge gradually slowed his pace, his gaze fixed tightly on the two people on the ground. Even the slightest twitch of their fingers would result in their heads being blown off without hesitation.

Upon reaching the two, Chu Ge handed the gun to Mu Lingshan, "Keep a close watch; if they make any move, shoot. I'll tie them up."

Despite the fact that both were wounded, Chu Ge didn't relax his vigilance but solemnly said a sentence. He stripped these two of their pants, using the torn pant legs as makeshift ropes to bind their wrists and ankles.

Damn it, this bunch of bastards messed with him like this back then; the tables have turned. Now that it's his turn, how could he possibly show mercy?

If he wasn't concerned about Mu Lingshan's presence, stripping these two of their outer pants would have been the least of his measures.

Of course, tying them up was just the beginning; since Lin Gaoze and others weren't here yet, if he didn't take the chance to do something now, it would be unjust to the hardships he suffered that day.

Looking at the two securely bound on the ground, Chu Ge clasped his hands together, clenching his fists, and asked in Korean, "Were either of you involved that night?"

The two hesitated for a moment; how was this voice so familiar?

They took a good look at Chu Ge and suddenly turned pale with fright. This man... wasn't he the one who got tied to a stone and was sunk to the bottom of the water? How is he even alive?

Chu Ge chuckled, "Not talking, right? Hey, I like guys who keep their mouths shut."

As soon as he finished speaking, Chu Ge abruptly grabbed a man's hair, using the gun handle as a hammer, and fiercely struck his right cheek.

This time, Chu Ge didn't hold back at all. As the grip came down, it left a gaping wound on the man's right cheek, fresh blood splattering everywhere. His entire right cheek sank a bit, and a piece of his cheekbone was shattered.

Witnessing the scene, Mu Lingshan's eyes twitched, "Chu Ge, are you crazy? They are already subdued, and you..."

Before Mu Lingshan could finish, Chu Ge turned and smiled, "No, they're not subdued yet. These two criminals are fiercely resisting, forcing me to adopt relatively forceful measures."

Mu Lingshan frowned, ultimately letting out a light sigh and stood silently to the side.

Chu Ge, with his signature smile, crouched down, inserting the gun barrel into the man's mouth, while his other hand touched his nose, "I'll ask one more time: were either of you involved that night? Nod or shake your head, give me an answer."

The man neither nodded nor shook his head; his glare at Chu Ge became even more furious and menacing.

"Hey? Interesting, huh? Your bones aren't that hard. Just a light strike and it cracked with a snap. So why is your mouth so tough?"
