Mu Xiaoting said again, "How about you use my makeup kit to do Chu Ge's makeup? It doesn't matter who does it. My makeup skills probably aren't as good as yours."

Chu Ge chuckled, "I promise to cooperate; just go ahead and do your thing."

Fifteen minutes passed, and Mu Xiaoting moved her hands away from Chu Ge's hair. She looked at his face with focused attention, her lips curling into a smile of satisfaction and contentment.

"Tongtong, Yuanyuan, Shanshan, what do you think?"

Mu Xiaoting took a step back and turned her gaze to the other three women in the room.

Chen Jiatong gave a thumbs-up, "Perfect!"

Xu Jingyuan exclaimed, "Definitely the most handsome groom of the year!"

Mu Lingshan, however, muttered grumpily, "That face still looks so punchable."

Chu Ge got up from the sofa and went into the bathroom to check the mirror. He was very satisfied with the meticulous work Mu Xiaoting had done for him.

Before long, more people started arriving in Chu Ge's room. After chatting and laughing with everyone for a while and seeing that it was almost time, he went downstairs to wait at the hotel entrance.

Since it wasn't convenient to carry a bag or hold things today, Chu Ge handed his clutch to Liang Jinjiang when he went downstairs. Liang Jinjiang's task today was to stay by his side and assist whenever needed.

The weather was great today. Looking up, there wasn't a trace of cloud in sight. The sky was a clear blue, and even the usual smog that seemed to always blanket the land was almost negligible.

There was a bit of a breeze, cool yet not cold.

In less than two minutes, the people from the wedding planning and the lead wedding car arrived one after the other.

The lead car was an S-Class Mercedes, not too low-key but not overly flashy either. The hood was adorned with a heart-shaped arrangement made of roses, topped with two dolls modeled after Chu Ge and Qin Ruojing, holding hands. Although they were in a chibi style, they really did resemble the two of them quite well.

After the lead car arrived, the vehicles Qin Yan arranged also started to show up one after another. Liu Weijiang, the son of Lidu City's Bureau of Industry and Commerce director, personally managed the direction and parking of these vehicles. Long Kun, seeing how passionately Liu Weijiang was organizing, shook his head with a smile and went over to join him in the arrangements.

When Long Kun first approached, Liu Weijiang was a bit taken aback. There had been some unpleasantness between them in the past. However, when he saw Long Kun smiling at him peacefully, he returned the smile. Although they didn't say much at that moment, there was a sense of them letting bygones be bygones with a mutual smile.

While Long Kun and Liu Weijiang were organizing the parking, Lin Fang, Chu Shiyao, Mu Lingshan, and a few other girls were distributing cigarettes, candies, and route maps on the cars they confirmed, tying ribbons to the rearview mirrors of each vehicle.

The procession to pick up the bride was scheduled to leave at 7:50. By 7:00, over thirty cars had already arrived, mostly Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi. Under Liu Weijiang and Long Kun's arrangement, cars of the same or similar makes were parked together, looking orderly and tidy.

One of Qin Ruojing's uncles also came over, originally intending to help Chu Ge with the arrangements. However, he soon realized that Chu Ge's friends were incredibly efficient, leaving nothing for him to worry about.

Qin Ruojing's uncle approached Chu Ge, patted him on the shoulder, and said, "Little Chu, seems like the cars are about ready. Why don't you take a look and pick some people to go with you to pick up the bride?"

Chu Ge nodded and was about to arrange things when he saw four white Porsche Cayennes driving over. Qin Ruojing's uncle was slightly taken aback since he didn't recall hearing that Cayennes would be used as wedding cars.

The four Cayennes parked near the lead car, with two stopping before it and two after. Qin Ruojing's uncle turned to Chu Ge and asked, "Did you arrange for these four cars?"

Chu Ge neither confirmed nor denied, simply smiled and said, "I'll go check it out."

Chu Ge walked over to one of the Cayennes in front of the lead car. As he approached, the car's window rolled down, and before he could inquire, the young man in the driver's seat, dressed in a shirt and slacks, smiled politely and asked, "Excuse me, is this the wedding car fleet for Mr. Chu Ge and Miss Qin Ruojing's wedding?"

Chu Ge nodded, discreetly sizing up the young man. Despite the young man's approachable smile and polite tone, Chu Ge sensed a certain wariness and a slight hint of hostility from him.

"Who are you?"

The young man smiled and said, "We're also here to help with the vehicles."

Chu Ge smiled back at the young man and asked, "Sorry, may I know who invited you?"

The young man smiled gently, "You must be Mr. Chu Ge, right? Sorry, but can I keep that a little confidential for now?"

Chu Ge maintained his smile as he gazed at the young man, who did not shy away and met Chu Ge's gaze directly. After a few seconds of eye contact, Chu Ge averted his gaze and turned to look at his friends.

While having four more Cayennes in the lineup was indeed impressive, Chu Ge couldn't allow them to surround the lead car if their origins were unclear.

From the way these four cars were positioned, it seemed that after departure, they were meant to enclose the Mercedes lead car, two in front and two behind.

Frankly, if they had malicious intent, Chu Ge and Qin Ruojing sitting in the Mercedes in the middle could find themselves in a very unfavorable situation.

Just as Chu Ge was contemplating this, someone patted him on the shoulder. He turned to see Liang Jinjiang handing him a phone.

The call was from He Qing. Chu Ge looked around but didn't see He Qing anywhere, so he stepped aside a few paces and answered the call.

"What is it?"

He Qing's voice came through the receiver, "You don't need to worry about those four Cayennes; they're with us."

Hearing He Qing's assurance, Chu Ge felt relieved. Taking advantage of not being watched, he muttered in exasperation.

"Why didn't you give me a heads-up earlier? If you hadn't called, I might have asked them to leave. On my wedding day, the last thing I want is a confrontation."

"You can't blame me for this. I didn't know they'd show up either. I only saw them from upstairs just now, so I contacted you immediately," He Qing's voice sounded quite helpless.

Chu Ge scratched his head, "Oh, I wasn't blaming you. I'm thrilled to have these four Cayennes leading and following. By the way, when I go to pick up the bride, are you coming with me or heading straight to the restaurant?"

He Qing chuckled and said, "Do you really have to ask?"

Chu Ge secretly rolled his eyes, thinking, "Why wouldn't I ask?" Then He Qing's decisive voice reached his ears.

"Of course, I'm going with you."
